This course is desinged for complete beginners who have never been in contact with the French language.
This course requires literacy. Please note that this is a French language learning course. It is not a literacy course.
For non-beginners,
Goals
Act and perform daily tasks in a French-speaking context.
Communicate easily.
Understand French speakers.
Understand video, written or oral documents.
Acquire or reinforce linguistic knowledge (grammar, lexicon and phonetics).
Be open to French and Francophone culture.
Gain in ease and confidence.
Program
Each monthly session of intensive courses consists of :
> 72 hours of general courses. This represents 18 days of 4 hours each,
> and 2 days off: no classes.
These two days off are generally placed on the Wednesday of week 2 and the Friday of week 4 of the session. However, due to calendar or activity constraints, these two days off may be subject to change on certain sessions.
We confirm that the dates of the two days off will be communicated to you before the start of your session in the welcome email.
These 2 days off allow you:
> to take part in different activities proposed by the Alliance Française de Paris: linguistic excursions in Paris, reinforcement and thematic workshops, DELF and TEF exams or cultural activities,
> to fit in with public holidays on certain sessions.
Inside the classes, you will work on oral/written comprehension and discover the functioning of the language from a variety of documents (videos, written and audio) and in context (in many everyday situations). You will carry out a variety of activities and constantly exchange with other learners and the teacher.
Grammar, lexicon and pronunciation are covered in an active way.
Oral and written expression activities are offered so that you can put into practice what you have learned in the sessions.

How to register for an intensive course?
You choose the intensive course on the date that suits you.
Classes are held Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 13:00.

This intensive formula is designed for people who wish to devote themselves fully to learning French and/or who have urgent and immediate learning needs.
It is perfect for those who need French for their studies, for their work or for an expatriation in France or in a French speaking country.
Prerequisites
To take a complete beginner's course at the Alliance Française de Paris, you must be literate and at least 18 years old.
