We are delighted to welcome Michèle Rakotoson. A writer, playwright and literature teacher, she has also worked as a journalist for France Culture and RFO, as head of literary events at RFI and as literary director of the Revue noire.
Her latest novel, Ambatomanga. Le silence et la douleur, was a finalist for the Prix Ivoire 2022 and winner of the Prix Orange du Livre en Afrique 2023. In it, the novelist narrates the invasion of her native island at the end of the 19th century, through the eyes of a Malagasy slave and a young French officer.
